This was back in the day when there were no cell phones. Foxx waited a day or two and called her. No answer. A few nights later, he ran into his “girlfriend” at a club.
“I saw her with another guy. She ran up to me and said, ‘Jamie, how are you?’ I was like, ‘Hey, bit… I mean, girl.’” And she was like, ‘Hey, it’s so good to see you. This is Mike. I told him all about you.’
“Then she said, ‘Oh, by the way, he has a Range Rover just like yours, only his is new. It’s from this year.’
“That was my first love experience in LA.”
Foxx is “sharing” because it’s the season of love and his new movie revolves around all the issues of romance.
Garry Marshall’s star-packed “Valentine’s Day” follows an A-list group of love seekers. The cast includes Foxx, Julia Roberts, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Queen Latifah, Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift, Kathy Bates, Jessica Biel and Bradley Cooper.
Marshall says his all-star cast presented a few unique problems.
